Ingredients
  

  • 2 lb Chicken – Cubed breasts or thighs
  • 2 tbsp Cooking Oil
  • 4 tbsp Garlic Paste
  • 4 tbsp Ginger Paste
  • 1 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 3 tsp Kashmiri Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 tsp Cumin Powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander Powder
  • 2 tsp Kalonji (Nigella Seeds)
  • 2 lb Roma Tomatoes Diced
  • 1/2 Jalapeno Pepper Julienned
  • 1/4 cup Cilantro chopped

Instructions
 

  • Heat the oil in a pot and add the chicken
  • Fry the chicken for 3 minutes
  • Add the ginger and garlic
  • Mix and cook for 3 minutes
  • Add all the spices
  • Mix and cook for 2 minutes
  • Add the tomatoes
  • Mix, bring to boil. Lower heat and and let it simmer on medium low for 20 minutes covered
  • Julienne the jalapeno pepper and chop the cilantro
  • You will see a thick tomato gravy
  • Add the jalapeno peppers and cilantro
  • Simmer for another 5 minutes. Depending how dry or wet you want the karahi, continue to simmer to your desire
  • Ready to serve
