A Pakistani ground beef recipe with an achar flavor

Ingredients
  

  • 3 tbsp Cooking Oil
  • 2 lb Extra Lean Ground Beef
  • 2 1 lb Onions Sliced
  • 4 0.75 lb Tomatoes ~ 4
  • 1 Jalapeno Pepper
  • 8 + 8 Curry Leaves
  • 2 + 1 tsp Cumin seeds
  • 2 tsp Brown Mustard Seeds
  • 1/4 + 1 tsp Fenugreek Seeds
  • 2 tbsp Garlic Paste
  • 2 tbsp Ginger Paste
  • 2 tsp Turmeric
  • 1 tsp Kashmiri Chili Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Kalonji (Nigella Seeds)

Instructions
 

  • Heat a pan and add cooking oil
  • Add 2 tsp cumin seeds, 1/4 tsp fenugreek seeds, mustard seeds and the 8 curry leaves. Fry for 30 seconds
  • Add the the onions and fry for 10 mins on medium high heat
  • Fry until the onions start to turn brown
  • Add ginger and garlic paste
  • Fry for a few minutes
  • Add the ground beef. Turn to high heat
  • Break up the beef. Fry for 5 minutes.
  • Separate 1 tsp cumin seeds, 1 tsp fenugreek seeds, 2 tsp turmeric, 1 tsp chili powder, 1 tsp salt and 2 tsp kalonji
  • Add the spices to the beef and mix
  • Fry for a few minutes
  • Add the tomatoes, jalapeno and curry leaves
  • Mix well
  • Cover and cook on medium low for 10 minutes. Ready to serve
