Chapli Kebab

A very simple recipe for Chapli Kebab

Ingredients
  

  • 2 lb Ground Beef (90+% lean)
  • 2 cups Onion (Chopped)
  • 1 Jalapeno (Chopped)
  • 2 cups Tomatoes (Deseeded)
  • 2 cups Cilantro (Chopped)
  • 8 cloves Garlic
  • 10 tbsp Besan Flour Gram Flour
  • tsp Salt
  • 4 tbsp Coriander Seeds (Roasted and Crushed)
  • 2 tsp Kashmiri Chili Powder
  • 4 tsp Garam Masala (all spice)
  • 4 Eggs

Instructions
 

  • Roast the coriander seeds in an oven toaster for 2 minutes. Grind coarse in a coffee grinder
  • Roast the besan (gram flour), in the over toaster for 3 minutes
  • Deseed the tomatoes and chop them

  • Chop all the ingredients
  • Place all the ingredients in a food processor along with all the spices and coriander seeds. Blend until everything is chopped medium to coarse
  • Place the ground beef, the spice mix, besan and 4 eggs in a large mixing bowl and mix all the ingredients. If it is too watery add more besan 1 tbsp at a time
  • Make kebab patties and fry them on medium, 5 mins on each side
  • Hot chapli kebabs ready to serve!
